SEIB BORDERS FESTIVAL OF THE HORSE

15 - 27 May 2008

South Essex Insurance BrokersThe SEIB Borders Festival of the Horse 2008 put "Scotland's Horse Country" firmly on the map with an 11-day gourmet choice of over 40 events for both riders and spectators. This year's Festival attracted more visitors and media attention than ever before. Ten brand new events were put on and one of the highlights was seeing working horses in action at the horse logging demonstrations staged by Forestry Commission Scotland. Guided rides are becoming more popular every year and riders very much enjoyed following in the footsteps of ‘Rustlers and Reivers’ in the stunning Border hills. The Borders Festival is unique in that it covers such a variety of disciplines to do with horses and shows why this region is "Scotland’s Horse Country".
