EQUESTRIAN TOURISM

Few and far between are there places left where you can enjoy the solitude and unspoilt countryside still to be found in Scotland.  Striding high on the hills or ambling through hidden valleys, you will feel a million miles from the stresses and strains of life.

Bring your own horse on holiday or visit our friendly horse riding establishments who will cater for all your needs.  You don't need to be an expert to experience the freedom that riding offers.  Whatever kind of riding you wish for - you will find it in Scotland.

“Mount-up” to boost Borders tourism
Scottish Enterprise has commissioned two new reports to find out if cycling and equestrianism can be used to boost the numbers of visitors to the Scottish Borders.

It is hoped that the research will provide greater insight into existing facilities and what is required to attract more people. The Borders, with its rolling hills and stunning scenery, is already one of the UK’s leading areas for adventure sports, including cycling and horse riding. Facilities at Glentress and Innerleithen already attract about 250,000 visitors every year.
