A second Horse/Dog familiarisation day was held in Tentsmuir forest at the beginning of September - where all dog owners visiting the car park one sunny Sunday were cheerfully offered the "See it from my point of view" leaflets and a dozen dogs attended a training and familiarisation session with quiet horses under the tutelage of local dog trainer Sam Perkins.
Coffee and cake was provided by Jean Wallace and the superb well behaved equines were kindly provided by Tricia Halley and Sally Coutts from Crieff. BHS Scotland's chairman of safety; Mrs Kristine Hynd said; "Between the two events we have held in Fife this summer, over one hundred dog owners have been exposed to some really positive and fun BHS education. As a result I am sure we have lessened the likelihood of dog attacks in Fife and raised awareness of the responsibilities in sharing tracks."
