BHS Grampian Fit to ride Evening 27 March 2017
Fit to ride in 2017 - an evening with three equine experts to talk about feeding, fitness and physio.
There will be talks from Vicki Glasgow from Harbo, local rider Rebecca Stephens and Tara Jamieson human and equine physio.
This is a free event and will be held at the Dunecht Pony Club House starting at 7pm Tea/coffee provided.
If you'd like to come please contact Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org so we know how many people to expect.
Directions to Pony Club House:
There is only entry from Dunecht itself, so on the A944 from westhill, drive into Dunecht and just past the 30 mph signs turn left in through the main gates of the estate. Follow the road round to the right through the gatehouses, and continue to follow the road, passing a steading on the right and the next building on the left is PC house.
Cars should park herringbone. If the parking to the side of the house becomes full, further parking is available past PC house on the right hand verge only. The left hand verge is too soft for vehicles.
If coming from Alford, come into Dunecht and entrance is on right after pub.
From Kintore, turn left at pub then first right into estate.

Patrick Print Stable Managers day 24 March 2016
BHS Grampian were delighted to welcome Patrick Print FBHS to Aberdeenshire on Thursday 24th March 2016 to deliver a Stable Managers Training day with the afternoon devoted to the lunging aspect of the BHS Stage 2-4 exams. It was a highly informative and interesting day which was enjoyed by local instructors and training students alike. The day was subsidised by the Jubilee fund which provides funding for training for local instructors to help them achieve their BHS exams. Many thanks also go to Strathorn Farm Stables who provided the venue and horses for the day.
Getting Ready to Hit The Road!
Over 40 people gathered at Norvite at South Blackbog, Inverurie on Monday 20th April to attend BHS Grampian’s Transport Evening. Ian Smith, ex-VOSA examiner, walked attendees through the necessary checks to be carried out on different vehicles from the 7.5 tonne lorry to the car and trailer and discussed the all-important issue of weight. Rebecca Stephen offered invaluable advice on horse care when travelling, covering a range of important points such as equipment, safety and tackling difficult loaders. It was an educational and highly informative evening for all and BHS Grampian extends it’s thanks to the brilliant speakers and to Norvite for providing teas and coffees and an excellent venue. Armed with their new knowledge, we wish everyone safe and happy travels!
